¶ Alpine XFCE (Webtop) Add-On Guide
Alpine XFCE (Webtop) provides a lightweight, fast, and minimal desktop environment using Alpine Linux and XFCE. It’s an ideal option for low-resource systems or users who prefer a simple, responsive Linux desktop accessible through a browser via noVNC.
¶ 📥 Installation
Alpine XFCE (Webtop) is available via the Docker Menu in Batocera Unofficial Add-Ons (BUA):
- Launch Batocera Unofficial Add-Ons from the Ports menu.
- Open the Docker Menu.
- Select Alpine XFCE (Webtop) and press Install.
- The container will run automatically after installation.
¶ 🌐 Access
- The desktop is available in your browser using a dynamically assigned port, starting from
3000. - The specific port number will appear in the terminal output or installation log.
- Open your browser and go to:
http://batocera.local:<assigned-port>
(replace<assigned-port>with the actual port shown during install)
